MINNESOTA, USA — There will be a couple lines of showers and thunderstorms lifting north through our region this evening into the overnight hours. While you may hear some rumbles of thunder and receive some heavy rain, severe weather is not anticipated.
In Minnesota could see some borderline severe storms later this afternoon. The greatest severe weather threat stays to our south over Iowa.
Our first storm system will depart Saturday morning with lingering showers migrating north. Saturday will end up cloudy and breezy with mainly dry condition with showers hanging around in northern Minnesota.
Storm chances along with any severe weather threat will push further to the west into central and southern Wisconsin.
Another area of moderate to heavy rain is expected to move in Sunday morning and could linger throughout the entire day. Severe threats once again will stay just to our south in Iowa and southwest Wisconsin.
By Monday morning, we could be looking at 1-2 inches of total rainfall.
We could still see some isolated rain making its way through the area on Tuesday, but the overall trend will be for our weather pattern to dry out by midweek.
