MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Lynx made another offseason move to bolster their roster.

The team traded guard Alexis Jones to the LA Sparks in exchange for guard Odyssey Sims.

Lynx head coach and general manager Cheryl Reeve said in a statement, “We have gotten to know Odyssey Sims up close and personal from a competitive standpoint in our rivalry with the LA Sparks over the last few seasons."

“Odyssey brings us physical toughness and the ability to score at the guard spots. We look forward to her time as a Minnesota Lynx.”

Sims started 24 of 34 games for the Sparks last year. The 27-year-old averaged 8.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

The Lynx open their season against Chicago on May 25.
