MINNESOTA, USA — Thursday is shaping up to be quite pleasant, with abundant sunshine and warm temperatures. The wind has returned, and it will stay gusty through this evening. Any rain chance holds off until late tonight into early Friday morning.
Back to back, low-pressure centers are set to move in tomorrow and again on Sunday. Expect rainy intervals Friday along with a gusty southeast wind. There may even be a rumble or two of thunder, but any severe weather threat should stay south of I-90.
The first low departs early Saturday, and just a few showers are expected in the morning. The rest of the day should be dry, mostly cloudy, and not as windy. Rain chances move deeper into Wisconsin, and even a severe weather threat for the central and southern part of the state.
Another area of moderate to heavy rain is expected on Sunday and could linger throughout the entire day. Severe threats once again will stay just to our south in Iowa and southwest Wisconsin.
By the end of the weekend, we could be looking at 1"-2" of total rainfall.
While a few spotty showers are possible next Tuesday, the overall trend will be for us to dry out for at least a few days.
