STEARNS COUNTY, Minn. — A 9-year-old girl suffered life-threatening injuries after riding an ATV driven by an 11-year-old, according to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office.
The 11-year-old was driving a 2007 Polaris Ranger ATV on a driveway when she attempted to maneuver a curve and lost control, authorities said.
The 9-year-old passenger, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to the Melrose Hospital, then airlifted to an unknown hospital in the Twin Cities, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
