Eagan Police say the driver of an SUV that crashed into a local Starbucks was drunk. Two people were seriously injured.

EAGAN, Minn. — Police now say the driver who crashed his SUV into a Starbucks in Eagan Monday night was drunk.

Squads were dispatched to the Starbucks at 1480 Central Park Commons Drive just after 9 p.m. and on arrival found a Mercedes SUV through the side of the building, and two people injured. It's believed 29-year-old Stanton Marvin Baldwin of West St. Paul and 30-year-old Macy Layne Olson were sitting outside on the patio when they were struck. Both were taken by ambulance to Regions Hospital. Baldwin is now in fair condition. Olson is now in good condition.

Officers spoke with the driver of the SUV and thought he was under the influence of alcohol. The 44-year-old Eagan man was later arrested for DWI, checked out at a hospital and is currently being held in the Dakota County Jail pending charges.
