ST PAUL, Minn. — Police have identified the man who was killed in a Friday evening shooting in St. Paul.

Another man who was injured in the shooting has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

According to a Friday night press release from the St. Paul Police Department, multiple 911 calls led officers to the 1200 block of Westminster Street just before 7 p.m., where they found an unresponsive man who was "gravely wounded by an apparent gunshot wound."

Medics arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene. Police identified him Monday as 44-year-old Royal Terrell Arrington of Fridley.

Police said shortly afterwards, a second man was dropped off at a local hospital. He had also apparently been shot and had "life-threatening injuries."

This was the 29th homicide of 2021 in St. Paul.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information is released.
