J.K. Rowling is giving Harry Potter fans a present this Halloween.

The author will release a new story on Oct. 31, centered (appropriately) on one of the more villainous characters in the series:Dolores Umbridge. Umbridge was first introduced in the fifth book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, as the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic and the newDefense Against the Dark Artsteacher atHogwarts.

She's evil, vicious and obsessed with pink and cats, so pretty much the second best villain in the series (after You-Know-Who himself). In one of the most memorable scenes from the book, she punished Harry by making him write "I must not tell lies" in his own blood.

Fans can read the story on Halloween on Rowling's site Pottermore.com.
